Nací y vivo en Chile. Me formé como ingeniero y pasé años entre modelos matemáticos, datos y salas de clase: enseñar a programar me enseñó que una idea no está terminada hasta que otra persona la puede ver.
Escribo en mi blog sobre Python, tecnología y libros, y en paralelo volví al papel. Primero fueron cuadernos de dibujo y acuarelas pequeñas; después, el taller de calcografía, donde la plancha de metal me obligó a pensar con las manos y a aceptar que la tinta decide una parte del resultado.
Hoy mezclo las dos cosas. Algunas obras nacen de un script con una seed; otras, de una tarde con el pincel. Me interesa que se noten las costuras: el error del ácido, la iteración que no funcionó, el parámetro que cambió todo. Por eso cada obra tiene aquí su proceso completo.
I was born and live in Chile. I trained as an engineer and spent years among mathematical models, data and classrooms: teaching people to code taught me that an idea is not finished until someone else can see it.
I write on my blog about Python, technology and books, and alongside that I went back to paper. First came sketchbooks and small watercolors; then the intaglio workshop, where the metal plate made me think with my hands and accept that the ink decides part of the result.
Today I mix both. Some pieces start from a script and a seed; others from an afternoon with a brush. I like the seams to show: the acid mistake, the iteration that failed, the parameter that changed everything. That is why each piece keeps its full process here.
